What we are excepting from you
As you can see on this website, we propose a lot of possibilities, so that your time as a student will be unforgettable. Those possibilities are only possible because the residents engage themselves and contribute to the dormitory life. There are plenty of opportunities for to get involved in everyday life or in permanent positions.
For this reason, we are looking for active residents, who are ready to take in charge small tasks. Flat-sharing and dormitory life are only doable, when everybody does his own part. Here is some example of small task: The Crafting room has to be administered and maintained, Wednesday the Bar is open and the beer needs to flow, the internet and the accesses are administered and someone has to take care of this website as well. You will find a selection of the somewhat larger tasks in the Associations (AG) section.
There is enough to do, such as everybody does something he/she likes ! Here everybody is doing his part, some get involved very deeply, some less. It’s not so much work, for us it’s only important that everyone does something.
How to apply
The requirements and guidelines of the Studentenwerk for renting a room can be found on the website of the applicant portal.
The applying procedure has been centralized so that you have to apply via the Studentenwerk portal. All further information can be found on the applicant portal website. As soon as you have moved up the waiting list, we will contact you and invite you to an interview where you will get to know us and us. After a few days the residents of the flat will tell you their decision.
Small tip: The Occupancy Committee and your maybe next flatmates are reading a lot of application, so complete every questions and write a nice and interesting description!
Important: The applicant portal has made a small mistake with our dormitory. As you can read under Rooms, all rooms except the cellars have their own private bathroom. In the applicant portal, however, the FAHO is not displayed if you specify that you do not want rooms without your own bathroom. The problem can be solved by selecting “Room without bathroom” in the selection. Don’t worry, you won’t be invited to such rooms in other dormitories, unless you want to.
